As part of our mission to support students throughout their time at the University of Missouri, the Center for Academic Success & Excellence manages four diversity-related scholarships offered at the university. We assist the students who have received these awards and oversee the scholarship renewal process.
The scholarships we manage are:
No application required. Students are automatically considered once admitted to MU
No separate application is required. All admitted students are automatically reviewed for consideration for the scholarship and students who are eligible for the scholarship will be notified.
Named after former MU Financial Aid Director George C. Brooks, this scholarship is designed to enhance recruitment and retention of undergraduate students from ethnic groups that are underrepresented at MU.
The Dr. Donald M. Suggs Scholarship is designed to enhance recruitment and retention of academically talented undergraduate students from ethnic groups that are typically under-represented in higher education. This scholarship is named to honor Dr. Donald M. Suggs, newspaper publisher, retired oral surgeon, patron of the arts and distinguished community leader. His contributions to the City of St. Louis and the State of Missouri are recognized and honored by the University of Missouri.
*Separate application is required to be considered for these scholarships
