A native of Louisville, Ky, Olivia Evans is a third-year student at Mizzou. She is majoring in Journalism with an emphasis in Print and Digital News Reporting. She is also double minoring in Political Science and Spanish. On top of her studies, Evans is on the Mizzou Track and Field Team where she throws hammer, weight and discus.
When Evans isn’t reporting or working out she can be found in the community serving others. Evans regularly volunteers at the food bank and local homeless shelters. Last year she completed a year-long leadership course through Tiger Leadership Institute.
Most recently, Evans has worked as a contributing writer for Vox Magazine where she published weekly arts and culture stories as well as published a couple of print articles in the monthly publication. She also was part of the Columbia Missourian’s special project covering minority-owned businesses in the Columbia area. Before this, Evans was a sports broadcaster and writer for KCOU 88.1 FM and also served as Co-Editor in Chief of her nationally recognized high school publication manualredeye.com.
Evans joined the CASE Marketing Team Summer of 2020. After graduating from Mizzou, she wants to begin her career in sports journalism, then transition to political journalism with an ultimate dream of being White House Press Secretary.
