Mission Statement

The mission of the Center for Academic Success and Excellence (CASE) is to support the persistence and graduation of underrepresented students at the University of Missouri. The Center for Academic Success and Excellence does this by providing workshops, positive mentor relationships and access to resources that enhance students’ personal development and academic success.

Our Objective:

Center for Academic Success and Excellence strives to provide opportunities related to the following three objectives that are integral to helping students transition and persist at MU:

  • Academic Enrichment
  • Financial Literacy
  • Sense of Belonging and Wellness

Who Does CASE Serve?

CASE serves as a campus support center for underrepresented ethnic students. Although, all currently enrolled students at MU can utilize the department’s services because CASE works to promote success and persistence for all students.
