Since 1995, Center for Academic Success and Excellence (formerly Academic Retention Services) has worked on behalf of the University of Missouri to promote the success of incoming and currently enrolled students from the time of acceptance into MU until graduation.
The mission of the Center for Academic Success and Excellence (CASE) is to support the persistence and graduation of underrepresented students at the University of Missouri. The Center for Academic Success and Excellence does this by providing workshops, positive mentor relationships and access to resources that enhance students’ personal development and academic success.
Center for Academic Success and Excellence strives to provide opportunities related to the following three objectives that are integral to helping students transition and persist at MU:
- Academic Enrichment
- Career Development
- Financial Literacy
- Sense of Belonging and
Who Does CASE Serve?
CASE serves as a campus support center for underrepresented ethnic students. Although, all currently enrolled students at MU can utilize the department’s services because CASE works to promote success and persistence for all students.
